Anti-Blather Press
The boys at the Anti-Blather Press decided to sit down and take stock of the top 20 picks from the first six LCSB drafts.
We evaluated each pick and placed them into one of seven categories. Editor Mickey Shine, then applied his widely
regarded secret formula to come up with a score that corresponds to the current long term value of each.
Who would have conceived that the 4th highest scoring pick in the AL resides with pick #19?
How about the cursed #3? Who in the name of Hal Richmond would want to pick in the AL #10 slot, or the NL #11 pick
where they drop in as the worst rated picks over our six year evaluation? Bring out the air freshener, something smells.
Of course, it's a no brainer to see that the #1 overall picks are leading the way, with #2 falling right in line. Makes fighting
for wins in the final month oh so important.
Take a look at the chart below. The higher the score, the better the long term value. We hope that by taking a good look
at this composite of the previous drafts will motivate you to go back and see where the mistakes were made and how not
to avoid being named the next Calvin Pickering Award
